About the Role

Our aerospace client is seeking Manufacturing Engineers – Levels 3, 4, and 5 to support assembly and installation operations across multiple locations. Engineers in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing production methodologies, optimizing manufacturing processes, and providing engineering support for factory operations. The selected candidates will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and production personnel to ensure manufacturing readiness and drive efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing and tooling methodologies
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
  • Analyze design/build concepts to ensure producibility and manufacturing feasibility
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
  • Lead and integrate engineering change management to minimize disruptions
  • Develop and maintain installation planning and provide shipside support 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of production and assembly plans
  • Validate and ensure production readiness for complex engineering changes
  • Identify and resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule
  • Provide visibility into active design changes, track associated risks, and support review processes

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (ABET accredited)
  • 5+ years of experience in assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and engineering configuration management
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with aerospace parts and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CATIA
  • Strong ability to analyze technical requirements, develop manufacturing solutions, and drive continuous improvements

Levels & Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Level 3: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production engineering
  • Level 4: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production engineering
  • Level 5: 14+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production engineering

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with GoldEsp
  • Experience with IVT
  • Experience with out-of-production aircraft sustainment
