About the Role
Our aerospace client is seeking Senior Liaison Engineers to support factory operations across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced production environment. The selected candidate will serve as the engineering representative on the factory floor, ensuring smooth integration of design into production by making prompt, data-driven decisions and partnering closely with manufacturing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve production non-conformances through root cause analysis
- Conduct structural and mechanical assessments to ensure compliance with design principles
- Support factory production personnel in troubleshooting engineering challenges
- Develop and document discrepant conditions and resolutions
- Assist in the implementation of product/process improvements
- Represent engineering in design reviews and IPT meetings
- Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards
- Develop engineering solutions for damaged or non-conforming parts
- Conduct static strength analysis and structural modifications as needed
- Participate in accident investigations, repair teams, and support teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (ABET or equivalent accreditation preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
- 10+ years of prior Material Review Board (MRB) experience
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in a factory or production environment
Preferred Skills & Technical Expertise
- Understanding of materials, including steel, aluminum, and titanium
- Knowledge of machining processes, material removal limitations, and load path analysis
- Experience with surface prep, burns, discoloration, and FOD (foreign object debris) issues
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances (GD&T)
- Experience using Spatial Analyzer modeling for discrepant conditions
- Knowledge of gear tables, spline profiles, gear fit, and alignment
- Familiarity with heat treatment, stress relief, peening, etching, plating, and finishing
- Experience diagnosing functional test requirements and acceptance criteria
- Proficiency with machined part repairs, including bushings, heli-coils, inserts, blending, and re-processing
