About the Role
Our aerospace client is seeking Structural & Payload Design Engineers at Levels 3, 4, and 5 to support factory operations across multiple locations. Engineers in this role will be responsible for developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements, as well as modifying and maintaining 3D CAD-based system designs. This is an onsite factory support role, requiring collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, and production personnel to ensure product integrity throughout its lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain structural and payload system designs using 3D CAD tools
- Provide engineering support for production operations, suppliers, and external customers
- Lead performance integration and analysis of tests to validate system and component requirements
- Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities
- Investigate and integrate emerging technologies for future product designs
- Support factory operations and liaise with production personnel to resolve engineering issues
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Rapid problem resolution in a production environment
- Experience with CATIA and ENOVIA
- Factory support and liaison engineering experience
- Strong customer support experience
- Knowledge of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and resolution strategies
- Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design (including 2D drawings and 3D models)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Levels & Minimum Experience Requirements
- Level 3: 5+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
- Level 4: 10+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
- Level 5: 14+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Boeing experience (including familiarity with Boeing tools and processes)
- Aircraft structural and payload design experience
